Full-width and edge-to-edge sections
Three ways to break out of the boxed content width: Highend's Fullwidth Section, WPBakery's row stretch, and the page's own Fullwidth layout.
"Full width" can mean a few different things in Highend: a section's background bleeding to the browser edges, its content doing the same, or simply a page with no sidebar. Which setting you reach for depends on which of those you actually want.
Fullwidth Section (recommended)
Highend's own Fullwidth Section row setting is the main way to build an edge-to-edge section with a styled background (a solid color, gradient, image with parallax, or a hosted video), regardless of whether the page itself is boxed or stretched.
Open the row's Fullwidth Section tab
Edit the row, go to the Fullwidth Section tab, and switch Fullwidth Section to Enable.
Choose a background
Set Background type to a solid color, gradient, image, or hosted video, and fill in the fields that appear. Turn on Enable fullwidth columns inside this row? too if you want the row's columns to stretch edge-to-edge as well, not just the background.
Add borders or waves, if you want them
Enable line border? and the two Waved border? switches add a plain or wave-shaped edge to the section.
See Rows and columns for every field this adds.
WPBakery's own row stretch
WPBakery has its own, simpler Row stretch setting on the row's General tab, independent of Highend's Fullwidth Section. It stretches the row itself edge-to-edge (optionally its content too) without any of Highend's background, border, or wave options. Reach for it when you just need a row to span the full browser width and don't need a styled background.
You can use WPBakery's row stretch and Highend's Fullwidth Section on the same row: they solve different problems and layer normally.
The old Fullwidth Section element
Older content may use a dedicated Fullwidth Section WPBakery element (a self-contained shortcode, rather than a row setting). It still renders, but it's marked deprecated in the Add Element dialog's Deprecated tab, with an in-editor notice pointing you to the row setting above instead. Don't use it for new sections; use the row's Fullwidth Section tab.
Sidebar Layout: Fullwidth
This is a different thing again: a page-level setting, not a section-level one. In the page's Highend Settings box, open the Layout tab and set Sidebar Layout to Fullwidth to remove that page's sidebar, so its content area spans the full container width. It doesn't make anything bleed past the container's max width. It just frees up the space a sidebar would have used. See Page settings.
