Page settings

The Highend Settings box on the page editor: per-page title, layout, header, footer, featured section, background and advanced settings.

Every page has a Highend Settings box below the content editor. Its tabs override sitewide Highend Options for that one page only.

Where to find it: Go to PagesAdd New or open any page for editing, then scroll below the content to the Highend Settings box.

The Highend Settings box on the page editor, with the Title tab openTitle, Layout, Header, Footer, Featured Section, Background and Advanced tabs.

How the tabs work

The box groups the page's settings into seven tabs: Title, Layout, Header, Footer, Featured Section, Background and Advanced. Click a tab to see its settings. The box opens on the tab you used last.

When you choose a page template that has its own settings, such as Contact Template or Blog - Classic, a tab for it appears first in the box and opens right away. Switch back to the default template and the tab goes away. See Page template tabs.

All tabs save together when you save or update the page.

Updating from an older version?

The General Settings, Layout Settings, Misc Settings, Background Settings and Featured Section Settings boxes are now tabs of the Highend Settings box, and the fields have shorter names. Your saved values carry over. See Where the old fields went.

How overrides work

Most fields default to Use Highend Options Settings, which means the page inherits the sitewide value. Pick a specific value instead (like Show, Hide, or a color) to override it for this page only. Leave a field on the default and it follows your Highend Options automatically. Set it explicitly and this page's value wins from then on, even after you change the sitewide setting.

Other post types

Posts, team members, portfolio items and FAQ items get the same Highend Settings box, with the tabs that apply to them:

Post typeTabs
PagesPage template tab (when a template is chosen), Title, Layout, Header, Footer, Featured Section, Background, Advanced
PostsPost Format (Video, Audio, Link and Quote formats), Title, Layout, Header, Footer, Background, Advanced
Team membersTeam Member, Title, Layout, Header, Footer, Featured Section, Background, Advanced
Portfolio itemsPortfolio Page, Title, Layout, Header, Footer, Background, Advanced
FAQ itemsTitle, Layout, Header, Footer, Background, Advanced

Sidebar Layout, Sidebar, Content Area, Top Bar, Footer Widgets and Pre-Footer Callout are on pages and posts only. Team members and portfolio items have their own layout fields at the top of the Layout tab instead.

Testimonials, pricing tables, clients and gallery items have a single settings box of their own, without tabs.
