Layout Block
Shows a Layout Block inside a page or post, so content used on several pages is kept in one place and edited once.
Layout Block shows one of your Layout Blocks inside a page or post. Use it for content that appears on several pages, such as contact details or opening hours: build it once as a block, place it wherever it's needed, and a change to the block shows on every page that uses it.
Add it
In WPBakery, click Add Element and pick Layout Block from the Highend Shortcodes category, then choose the block. Or use the shortcode. See Shortcode.
Settings
Choose a blockidLists your published Layout Blocks by title. Make and edit blocks in Layout Blocks. With no published blocks yet, the list says No layout blocks yet.
Common settings
Layout Block also has an Extra class name field. See the Elements overview. It has no Entrance Animation or Entrance Delay fields.
How it shows
- The block takes the width of the column it's in. Unlike a footer block, it isn't wrapped in a boxed container.
- The block's own row and column settings and its elements' styles load with the page, the same as on the block itself. Blocks shown inside other blocks work too.
- Only published blocks show. A draft, trashed or deleted block shows nothing to visitors; in WPBakery's frontend editor you see a short note instead.
- A block can't show itself, directly or through another block, so a block placed inside itself is left out.
Shortcode
[hb_layout_block id="contact-details"]id takes the block's slug, which is what the element saves and stays the same after a demo import, or its numeric ID.
