Blog Images Carousel
A full-bleed image slider of blog posts with a title, category, date, and excerpt over each photo.
Blog Images Carousel turns each post's featured image into a full-height slide with the post details overlaid, a more visual alternative to Blog Carousel.

Add it
In WPBakery, click Add Element and pick Blog Images Carousel from the Highend Shortcodes tab. Or use the shortcode (see Shortcode).
Settings
10countHow many posts to pull in. Enter -1 for all posts.
3columnsHow many slides are visible at once, from 1 to 8.
Offwith_paddingAdds a gap between slides instead of edge-to-edge.
350heightHeight of each slide in pixels.
Onshow_categoriesShows the post's category links over the image.
Onshow_read_moreShows a Read More link on each slide.
Offshow_dateShows the publish date on each slide.
Offshow_excerptShows a trimmed excerpt under the title.
15excerpt_lengthWords to show in the excerpt. Appears when Show Excerpt? is on.
Data source
categorySearch and pick one or more categories to limit which posts appear. Leave empty for all categories.
DateorderbyOptions: Date, Title, Random, Comment Count, Menu Order.
DescendingorderDescending or Ascending.
excludeSearch and pick specific posts to leave out.
offsetNumber of posts to skip from the start of the result set. Ignored when Total Items is -1.
Slider params
650data_sliderspeedTransition time between slides, in milliseconds.
5000data_autoplayTime before the next slide loads, in milliseconds. Enter 0 to disable autoplay.
Offdata_stoponhoverPauses autoplay while the pointer is over the carousel.

Shortcode
[blog_images_carousel columns="4" height="400" show_categories="true" show_date="true" category="15" data_autoplay="4000"]category and exclude take comma-separated IDs when written by hand (the WPBakery field stores IDs from its search picker, not slugs, unlike Blog Carousel's plain-text Category field).
